Bob Fudge, Texas Trail Driver, Montana Wyoming Cowboy 1862-1933 This is a great book by Jim Russell. I couldn’t put it down. The stories he tells about roping wolves and swimming rivers were unbelievable and fascinating. It is just facts, no fluff or fancy words describing the hard, but interesting life and times Bob Fudge lived driving herds of horses and cattle from Texas to Montana during the day of the open range. I highly recommend it for anyone, any age to read. I am so glad that we have authors like Jim Russell and Bob Sullivan (Camp Coffee: Tales of a Wyoming Cowboy) who took the time and put forth the effort to preserve the history and lives of these remarkable cowboys who touched so many lives.
John Wayne – A Western Celebration – This is very large, colorful coffee table book filled with wonderful pictures and recounts each of the western movies that John Wayne starred in. A synopsis of the film accompanies each poster and rekindles our memories of hours of entertainment watching John Wayne ride across the silver screen. Quotes from the movie are also included. This is a great birthday or Christmas present for the John Wayne fan!
