Come ride beautiful Eisenhower State Park Memorial Day and enjoy a great bbq meal and a spirited auction all to raise money for the Wright Flight organization. Cost of the ride and the meal is a $35 donation.

The Wright Flight Program is a non-profit organization. Dewayne Burgess, a retired Air Force fighter pilot, and owner of Roy Frey Western in Topeka, KS, founded the original Kansas Chapter in 1997.  He later encouraged friends in Missouri to establish a chapter and currently serves as President of the recently combined Kansas/Missouri Chapter.

This program is designed to use aviation interests to motivate students to perform at a higher level in school.  Students, grades 6-12, must meet two requirements to be successful in the Wright Flight Program. The first being, each student must score a minimum of 85% on an end of course exam for their aviation class. The second, the student must set and achieve an academic or behavioral improvement goal. The student’s chosen goal must be specified in a contract provided by Wright Flight. This contract must be agreed to and signed by the student, the student’s parents, and the student’s teacher.  If the student meets both requirements their reward is a flight with a volunteer pilot in a light aircraft, in which the students even have the opportunity to fly the plane.  If the goals are not met the student is welcome to continue trying until they achieve their reward of a flight. Please visit www.wrightflight.org if you would like more information.

Our goal for this trail ride is to help raise money to offset the fuel costs accumulated by the pilots volunteering their time and money for these flights.  All of the resources that are to be used to organize this trail ride will consist of 100% of donations from wonderful people like you.  In addition, 100% of the funds received from these donations will go directly to the purpose intended.  Come ride and support a worthy cause.
